‘all is desolate and lifeless from my lone vantage point. i look out to the plain and all i see are the boulders and the rocks that litter the landscape. behind me even the brilliant black sky is illuminated by the lights leaking out from civilisation.’
he wrote, in his notebook with pieces of charcoal taken from the embers of his still burning car.
‘even the black sky is incapable to resist the tainting of it’s nature from the hands of man, even if they have no intention of doing so. who am i to change man’s nature?’
he stopped writing, took out all his money and one by one put the paper notes into the flames and watched them flash, curl and turn to ash.
“burn! burn! i don’t need you!” he screamed and hop and danced around the fire.
